Teaching Philosophy

I believe that the most important task of the teacher is to inspire their students. That means working on the music that the student finds exciting! I am here to help you discover the music that moves you and to teach you how to become self-sufficient in your musical endeavors. I believe that there are many ways to develop one's intellectual and creative abilities, and each student deserves a customized approach. Lessons at the studio are centered around the study of repertoire chosen by the student with the guidance of the instructor. Supplementary instruction on technical skills, music theory and interpretation are a part of every lesson as well.
